Thompson was engaged to David Guc in 1987, whom she divorced from her life in the year 1990. Thompson had a son Alec in 1992. The parent of Alec Thompson's father is not known. Her wedding was to actor Jerry Doyle. Al, the son of the couple, is their name. The couple divorced in 1997.
