Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. At a young age, her dental doctor parents as well as her teacher mother encouraged her passion of drama and theater. This passion which trumped her original desire to become a primatologist. The actress became famous as an actress in her early years and with enormous success. Before she began to pursue her acting career, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that focuses on talent which was a part of Canal+ in 1998. She also won Best Young Actress for during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. While she attended in the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou is now averse to her religious upbringing and has stated she's not Catholic. She has pursued a modeling career in addition to her acting work and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. Additionally, she is a keen passion for photography. She recently exhibited her work for the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on the spotlight and celebrities and then turns her camera to the media who sat on her shoulders following her sudden rise to fame in the film Amelie in addition to several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her debut role as Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie was a worldwide box office success, and received accolades at awards galas around all over the world. The film is still the top-grossing French language film to date in the US. After the release of this film, Tautou starred in many films that ranged from British dramas and Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
