Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 for the Olympic contest. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at the age of six. She would later become the Romanian gymnastics coach. Her first competition was in the national junior championships where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci won. In 1972, during an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. Then in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. In her debut as a Senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion, winning four golds and a silver. She was the first female to ever successfully complete reverse double saltos while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens, when she began skating figure with her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry during her teenage years. She began her professional career by performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating which included stage performances.
